Exam Schedule

My name is Mary Richtsmeier. I am the new 7th and 8th grade resource teacher. I moved to Monterrey from the United States—Salem, Oregon specifically. Some of the other states I resided in are Idaho, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Georgia. I also lived in Perth, Australia for six months completing a study abroad program. Other interesting information about myself is that I am the second child in a line of five. I have one sister, three brothers, and two nephews. Besides my family, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, playing around with my dog, watching movies and spending time with my friends.

At the University of Wisconsin, I started my college program majoring in Special Education, but after three years transferred to the University of New Mexico where I completed a Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Language Arts. While living in Oregon, I began the Language and Literacy Program at Lewis and Clark College, and last summer I completed the coursework for a Reading Endorsement.

Before arriving in Monterrey, I previously taught for four years in the United States as resource and inclusion teacher in two different middle schools. My job duties have varied from self-contained classroom teacher, pullout teacher, support provider, to inclusion team teacher. My goal is to provide resources for students so that they can be independently successful as students, learners, and citizens of the world. I would like to be a support for students, families and teachers. Please feel free to email me at mary.richtsmeier@asfm.edu.mx or call my classroom at extension 4605. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Ambition, fueled by compassion, wisdom and integrity, is a powerful force for good that will turn the wheels of industry and open the doors of oppurtunity for you and countless others.
