My name is Siobhan Reddick and I am from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. I attended both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College where I completed a combined program of Theatre Studies and minored in English. In the university component I analyzed plays, short stories, novels, poetry, and Shakespeare. Whereas, in the college portion I was trained in improvisation, clown, stage combat, Shakespeare, scene study, voice, dance, and performed in professionally directed productions. After finishing school I took some time to audition and perform in Toronto before deciding to move to China where I created an ESL program using song, dance, and drama. It was such a rewarding experience that I decided to get my teaching qualifications and begin a career in education.

Last year I had the opportunity to teach ESL to adults in a private school in Toronto. It was there, in that welcoming and encouraging setting, that I really solidified the type of teacher I want to be. My goal is to create a learning environment where students can be confident, creative, and supportive of each other. I hope that in this secure and warm atmosphere my students will feel safe to express themselves and as a result reach their true potential.
