Naviance Family Connection :
Naviance is a service that we use here at ASFM for college planning purposes. Through this web-based service, students have the opportunity to explore their personality type, possible careers that would be a good match for them, and universities to which they might like to apply. Seniors use Naviance as they go through the process of applying to universities around the world. ASFM students in grades 9-12 may access their Naviance accounts by selecting the Naviance Family Connection link on the left.
College Preparation 11:
Welcome to College Prep 11. This course is an elective for juniors, and is only offered in the second semester. Course documents will be available to students taking the course in January 2010, by selecting the Edu2.0 link on the left and logging into their account.
App Anxiety:
App Anxiety is a website that was founded by ASFM alumni J.C. Montemayor (Tufts, 2013) and Dinorah Villalobos (Columbia, 2013). "Our site, Application Anxiety, is a blog that focuses on the main challenges that high school Juniors and Seniors face each year: the SATs, the ACTs, the Common App (which includes the much dreaded college essay), and Financial Aid applications. In time, we'll have diverse articles aimed at Juniors, Seniors, and Parents. Our site also includes real-life case studies on students, their academic and extracurricular background, and the outcome of their application experience. We're confident that our site will greatly benefit the plethora of college-bound students that currently attend ASFM." To experience App Anxiety (or rather, to avoid it...) click on the link on the left. Thank you J.C., Dinorah, and all of your fellow contributors! Great job...
