Welcome to my 7th grade Science and 8th grade Destination Discovery page!
I’m coming to Monterrey from northern Minnesota, where I grew up on a small exotic livestock farm. It was here that my interest in the sciences began to develop. I graduated with a degree in Biology and Education from a small liberal arts university not far from my home called Concordia College. After graduating, I worked on a paleontology expedition for a while, excavating and reconstructing dinosaur fossils. Shortly after, I moved to Monterrey and taught 7th grade math and 8th grade P.E. here at ASFM. Last year, I moved to Honduras, where I taught 5th grade science.
Of the two places, I most definitely preferred living in Monterrey and working with the amazing kids and teachers here at ASFM. I’m so happy to be back and excited to pilot the journey in my classroom of scientific exploration and creative thinking!
